This premium, traditional Japanese Sencha green tea is one of the teas used in our Classic Green kombucha and many of our other blends. This tea is smooth, rich in flavour and is commonly used in Japanese tea ceremonies.
These tea leaves come from the Camellia Sinensis plant, they are harvested in late spring and then steamed to prevent oxidation. This step helps in the preservation of the colour and properties of the tea.
Japanese Sencha (loose leaf green tea)
Once opened, keep in a cool, dark place and in an air tight container.
Steep for 5 - 10 minutes with 80 degree water (not boiling). Leaves can be steeped a number of times.
