Ever wanted to make your own kombucha at home? Well now you can with a Kombucha Shack SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria & Yeast). It's all you need to kickstart your own kombucha fermentation journey.
Our SCOBY comes in two sizes: Large or Small and enough starter tea for you to be able to brew a full batch of kombucha i.e Large will brew up to 4 litres and Small up to 2 litres. The SCOBY comes with instructions and of course you are welcome to contact us with any questions or concerns.
Please note that this product is the kombucha starter only and does not include the full kit with jar, tea, sugar, thermo strip, cover etc. If you require the full kit, please have a look at our Make Your Own kit.
Kombucha Starter
As this is a living product which would have been through varied environments during transit. We advise that you keep the SCOBY in its bag for maximum 1 day at room temperature and then make your first brew. Please do not keep this in the fridge or leave it in its bag for a long period of time, we cannot be held responsible for a bad batch due to starter negligence.
